SaxoCell is the Saxon Cell and Gene Therapy Future Cluster, a winner of the innovation competition “Clusters4Future” of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). Core partners of our cluster are the Fraunhofer IZI, the TU Dresden, the University of Leipzig and the Hospital Chemnitz gGmbH, collaborating closely with many further regional, national, and international research and industry partners. Our vision is to become a European lighthouse for cell and gene therapy. We will bring safe and affordable ATMPs to patients, strongly support innovation efforts of the industry, and make Saxony a home for Europe’s leading cell and gene therapy companies. The Fraunhofer Institute for Cell Therapy and Immunology IZI, as one of Saxocell`s core partners, is a leading institution in applied research and development of innovative products and technologies, having a particular focus on innovative cell and gene therapies.
